Applications are invited for ONE post of RESEARCH ASSISTANT (RA) on a temporary basis for
Science Communication and Outreach activities of the Institute. The appointment is initially for a period
of one year with a possible extension by another year based on satisfactory annual performance review.
Job Description:
The RA is expected to have social media expertise and help manage the Institute’s Facebook, Twitter,
YouTube, WordPress and Instagram accounts, regularly update relevant RRI webpages, organize school
student visits to campus on a regular basis as well as for special occasions like National Science Day,
National Space Day etc, take photos during important events and assist in any other way as the need arises.
This job profile involves a lot of communication with scientists, Engineers and members of Administration.
The incumbent should have good interpersonal skills with a pleasant and vibrant personality.
Pay of scale:
A consolidated remuneration of Rs. 31,000/- plus HRA as applicable per month will be paid to the selected candidate.
Essential Qualification:
Bachelor’s in any area of Physical Sciences, Science Communication, Visual Communication and related
areas.
Upper Age Limit:
The upper age limit is 40 years, as on the last date for closing of applications.
The last date for receipt of applications is 21 October 2024. Applications received after the last
date will not be considered.
